The company HMK DKEY Europe GmbH was founded in April 2004 by Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Mühl-Kühner, Dipl.-Ing. Leif Hager and Dirk Potthast in Schwalbach in the near of Frankfurt/Main.

HMK DKEY bundles the selling of the IT security and access products of Safenet (former Datakey).
The radius of action extends over Europe, the Near East and Africa. Safenet is a manufacturer of token safety systems and techniques. They are mainly used to record data, to store and transfer them.

Most important operational area are applications in the range public key infrastructure (PKI), which make issuing, examining and distributing digital certificates possible. HMK DKEY is an experienced specialist for PKI. The emphasis lies on Smartcard solutions, IT security, single sign-on, access authorizations etc. HMK DKEY attends to small companies but also to banks, authorities or the military.
